The Tim Britt Band is a Buffalo, New York–based Americana and roots-rock group built around the songwriting of singer, guitarist, and bandleader Tim Britt.
Originally from Utica, New York, Britt developed his reputation performing as a solo acoustic artist before forming the Tim Britt Band in 2015. The project allowed him to expand his songs into a full-band format built around groove, rhythm, and collaborative musicianship.
The band blends a wide range of influences including blues, funk, soul, new wave, disco, and folk. These influences shape a sound that balances rhythmic arrangements with Britt’s storytelling-driven songwriting.
The Tim Britt Band performs throughout Western New York and the Northeast, appearing regularly at clubs, festivals, and regional music venues. The group has shared stages with artists including John Popper, Elephant Revival, TR3 featuring Tim Reynolds, The Arcs, Gin Blossoms, Tommy James, The Michigan Rattlers, Cooper Alan, and Richy Mitch & The Coal Miners.
Before forming the band, Britt built a strong regional following as a solo performer. He was named Best Original Solo Artist by Buffalo Nightlife Magazine for three consecutive years (2012–2014) and received Best Acoustic Act honors from Artvoice in 2015. In 2014 he won Shea’s Performing Arts Center’s “No City Without Music” competition.
Today, the Tim Britt Band continues to build on that foundation with rhythm-forward arrangements, collaborative musicianship, and songs rooted in storytelling.
